Both upstream and downstream users use Valtus Imagey directly in established industry products and workflows. Valtus and IHS Energy have worked together for over five years to include imagery directly into IHS’s Accumap Product.

Seamless, high-resolution ortho-rectified photographs are so detailed that you can easily see pipeline right-of-ways (including high pressure), roads, muskeg, lakes, streams, etc. Rectification (rectifying the aerial photo to the terrain surface model (DEM)) creates a scalable ortho photo, allowing for accurate measurements. Because an ortho photo has uniform scale, you can accurately measure on it—it is an accurate, photographic base map.

In addition, you can overlay wells, pipelines, seismic and any other AccuMap data layer. These photos give a true representation of the Earth’s surface, providing a ground accuracy of within 5–10 m.
