News from the Cockpit
To remain as leaders in the aerial acquisition for a variety of products the North West Group currently owns and operates 7 aircraft. A Bombardier Lear 25, Cessna 335, Cessna 340, Cessna 406 and 3 Cessna 441's.
A two meter ADS40 II product is best acquired by the use of the Lear 25 jet. Capable of quickly climbing to 43,000 feet then fly at speeds of 425 knots (490 mph, 787 kph) to capture photo, this very capable aircraft will quickly take advantage of the perfect weather conditions to produce the type of product NWG prides itself on.
The pressurized Cessna 441 Conquest is a favorite in the industry for a number of reasons. This turbine powered aircraft can efficiently do photo missions from 10,000 feet to 35,000 feet. With speeds up to 290 knots (335 mph, 537 kph) and stay airborne over 6 hours, it is no surprise that NWG has three of these aircraft in it's fleet.
The Cessna 340 is most efficient at 22,000 feet but will also do a great job at 3,500 feet if a customer needs a very detailed product. The Cessna 340 keeps its crew in pressurized comfort for five hours at a time up to 24,000 feet.
The Cessna 335 and the Cessna 406 are both designated to Lidar data acquisition. The dependability of the Cessna 335 has allowed us to triple crew it and do three 6.5 hour missions a day. The Cessna 406 is the latest addition to the NWG fleet. With the same interior cabin as the Conquest and also being turbine powered the Cessna 406 is better suited for variety of missions.
